1. What types of therapy do you offer?

We offer individual, couples, and family therapy. We are in the process of offering groups (virtual & in-person) and would love your feedback on what you would like to see, email us!

2. How can therapy help me with anxiety?

1 in 5 Americans report having anxiety…my guess is that it’s higher, and there’s a clear route to slow it down. Through therapy we offer CBT (the gold standard of treating anxiety), education on what anxiety even is and how it works in the brain, and maybe exploring where it personally comes from within you. 

3. How long will it take to feel better?

Honestly, most people report feeling better after the first session, but by no means is that the end of the journey. Once you come in you realize how helpful it can be to tell your story, feel validated, seen, and hopeful that there is someone there to help you navigate through whatever brought you in! (To not answer like a politician: it can take anywhere from 1mon to a year and sessions are an hour long for each meeting).

4. Can therapy help with relationship issues?

Most definitely. It can help you understand yourself as a partner, we can help you develop better communication tools and better conflict resolution. In fact, we may be able to even help you identify patterns that you got from your family…that’s a real game changer!

5. What should I expect during my first session?

In your first session, you’ll discuss your current concerns and goals with your therapist. They will help you understand the therapy process, outline treatment plans, and start exploring ways to address your challenges. It’s an opportunity to ask questions and determine if the therapist is a good fit for you.

6. Do you offer online therapy?

Sure do! It was maybe the only good thing to come out of COVID. We have HIPPA compliant measures to make sure the session is as confidential as possible and you’d be surprised how you can still create a nice relationship with your therapist.

7. Is therapy confidential?

Absolutely, and we take this part very seriously. We know that if you are coming into our office, we are doing everything in our power to make sure you feel as comfortable as possible. Sometimes we also get asked: “If I use my EAP benefits or health insurance will my employer know” and the answer is NO, not unless you tell them.

8. How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Maybe I am biased but I think it’s right for everyone. Think of it like a gym membership, it’s a way to stay “fit”. It can also be used when you’re feeling stuck emotionally. We have very well trained staff that knows how to move you through almost all issues. 

9. What if I’m not comfortable with my therapist?

Tell us! Or them…when we are trained as therapists this is something we take seriously. It is really important you feel comfortable and we will work with you to either find you a better fit. But don’t be shy, ask as many questions as you need to help yourself feel comfortable.

Yes, all therapy sessions are confidential. We adhere to strict privacy guidelines, and any personal information shared during therapy will not be disclosed without your consent, except in cases where there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others.
